SAFETY AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR CLASSES

Your safety and enjoyment of our classes is of the utmost importance to us. Please review the recommendations below to maximize class success for everyone.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

We are a ‘Scent Free’ facility. We ask that you refrain from wearing perfume, body lotion or any strong scents while exercising. We have many patrons with allergies and medical conditions that are adversley affected by strong scents.

For safety reasons and to respect the space of your neighbors, gym bags, large coats and other bulky items are not permitted in the studio. Please bring a lock and use the personal lockers provided.

Chewing gum during class is a safety risk and is not recommended.

Always inform the instructor before class if you have an injury or medical condition that could be affected by exercise.

If you are sick please prevent spreading illness and stay home to give your body a chance to recover.

Please be sure you are well hydrated before class and that you bring water and a towel to class with you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I AM A FIRST TIME GYM MEMBER. DOES IT COST EXTRA FOR SOMEONE TO SHOW ME HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT?
    No. All new members of Fitness Unlimited are offered a comprehensive session with one of our Fitness Trainers. During this session our staff will: discuss any health concerns, perform a body composition analysis, set fitness goals, design a workout program to best help you achieve your goals and show you how to use the equipment.
  • DO YOU OFFER PERSONAL TRAINERS?
    Yes we do. Members who invest in Personal Training get results. Working out with a professional can make all the difference in the world. The knowledge and motivation provided by our certified Personal Training staff will help you achieve your desired goals.
  • DO YOU PAY EXTRA FOR ALL OR SOME GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES?
    No. All Group Exercise classes are part of your ‘All-Inclusive’ membership. This is an excellent feature available to you, as most clubs charge extra for classes such as Zumba, Yoga and Pilates.
  • DO YOU OFFER MONTH-TO-MONTH MEMBERSHIPS?
    Yes. Fitness Unlimited offers memberships on a month-to-month basis where they can be cancelled, with a 30 day notice.
  • DO YOU OFFER DAYCARE?
    Yes, our Kids Klub is available throughout the week. Times may vary, contact your preferred location for more information. Kids Klub is available at a rate as low as $15.00 per month, per child *unlimited!
  • DO ANY OF YOUR FACILITIES OFFER TANNING?
    Yes. All of our clubs offer tanning. We also offer a variety to tanning products as well. To find out information on different tanning packages, please call the club closest to you.
  • IF I JOIN AT ONE CLUB AM I ABLE TO USE AT BOTH LOCATIONS?
    Yes. Being a member of Fitness Unlimited entitles you to use at both of our locations. Many members find this very useful as they may be visiting or working in a different city where we have a location.
  • CAN MY 15-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER COME TO THESE CLASSES WITH ME?
    Yes, please do! These classes are safe and appropriate for ages 12 to seniors.
  • CAN MY HUSBAND/BOYFRIEND COME WITH ME TO THESE CLASSES?
    For sure. All our Fit Classes are co-ed.
  • I CAN’T DO ANY JUMPING EXERCISES ANYMORE, CAN I STILL DO THESE CLASSES?
    Absolutely. Our instructors will coach you on alternative exercises when you encounter an exercise that is not appropriate for you. Let the instructor help you with exercise selection.
  • I AM EARLY INTO MY FIRST PREGNANCY, DO I HAVE LIMITATIONS?
    No limitations, but your instructor will have helpful tips for your comfort and safety so please let them know before class - they will keep a watchful eye over you.
  • I HAVE BEEN WAITING OUT AN ANKLE (OR OTHER) INJURY, HOW WILL KNOW WHEN I AM READY TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASSES?
    When you feel ready to begin exercising again pay close attention to your body, self pace during class (take breaks when needed), let your instructor know, reduce your effort or maybe do a half class and build up your tolerance so that you have a safe re-entry to your exercise program.
  • I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO EAT BEFORE A CLASS, I DON’T WANT TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE OR HAVE STOMACH ISSUES DURING CLASS, WHAT DO YOU ADVISE?
    We recommend a light meal such as yogurt and fruit, or ½ a shake no sooner than an hour before class. We also recommend another light meal of protein and complex carbohydrates within 20 minutes of exercise.
